Privacy Scanner not working on TM Internet security
The Privacy Scanner is not working on my TM Internet security 2017. Its turn on and whenever I click the 'check now' button, error message 'unable to connect to the internet...' or ' something went wrong....' message appear. Also the icon for Trend Micro Toolbar on IE and Chrome is turn off (grey icon). Anyone face the same problem?

Thank you for posting your concern here!
Welcome to Trend Micro Community.
Trend Micro Toolbar should be enabled for the Privacy Scanner to work. Here's the steps on how to enable the extensions on your web browsers:
For Google Chrome:
- Open Google Chrome.
- On the address bar, type "chrome://extensions", then press ENTER.
- Click the Extensions tab.
- Click Enable if the Trend Micro extensions are not enabled.
For Internet Explorer:- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click Tools > Manage Add-ons.
- Click Toolbars and Extensions.
- Click Enable if the Trend Micro extensions are not enabled.
For detailed steps and for other web browsers, please see this article:Enabling Trend Micro plug-ins or extensions on web browsers
After enabling the Trend Micro Toolbar, kindly try again the privacy scanner.
Please let me know if enabling the toolbar solves the issue.
Let us know if this solution helps.

OK but did it work for you?
I don't use IE, it is not on my computer.
But i got the same problems a few month's ago with Beta-testing TM.
And i got everything working after complete uninstall of TM,

Also with search look for everything that was named Trend Micro then a register scan with Ccleaner then restart the computer and did a new install.
After that it worked for me.
Kind regards,
Tom
