what is bytefence? malware?
I have a Dell computer. A message is coming up from a program bytefence letting me know that I have malware. What is bytefence? Is the warning legitimate? Do I need this program in addition to trendmicro?

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours.
You don't need that program and if you have that program installed, (mostly with other software)
You just can uninstall it!

ByteFence is another antivirus program and we do not recommend having two antivirus programs installed on the same computer as this causes performance issues. As what Tom Emmelot previously suggested, you may uninstall, if you are not using it. What was the file being detected by ByteFence? Also, have you alreadytried running a scan using your Trend Micro program to see if it detects anymalicious files?
