Webpage Blocked notification keeps popping non-stop

Hi, I know this problem was brought up numerous times but the Mute Mode doesn't work for me. This annoying Webpage Blocked message keeps popping up non-stop and I never accessed that particular webpage. I have tried the following as per the Help Centre webpage but non worked.

  1. Remove suspicious extensions on your browser.
  2. Reset your browser data by clearing cache and cookies.
  3. fix website redirection issues caused by adware.
  4. Get rid of suspicious browser notifications.

These are my details.

1. Operating System  - Windows 10
2. Trend Micro Security version - See attached image

3. Internet Browser - Google Chrome
4. Exact Error Message from Trend Micro - See attached image
5. Screenshot of the Problem - See attached image

Please help. This stupid annoying pop-up is affecting my work on my laptop at all times. Can you imagine getting 4,593 pop-ups in just 1 month?? Thank you.

Hi @suan7826 , do this pop up shows up when you initially open the Chrome browser or do this happen even when Chrome is not opened?

Can you check on your Chrome Settings:

  • On Startup
  • Check if it is set as "Open a specific page or set of pages"
  • If yes, delete the specific page then you can consider setting it to "Open the New Tab page"

This pop-up shows up non-stop when I open Google Chrome. Once I close Google Chrome, it won't pop up.

No, I set it to "Continue where you left off"

Hi @suan7826​, 


It's possible that Trend Micro Internet Security is blocking a website redirection if you constantly get this pop-up whenever you use the Chrome browser.

@tm_carlo Thanks but this is my target field. There's no excess string aside from the shortcut link of the browser.​

Since it's not set on the target field, You may try to clear cache and cookies on Windows PC
