Trend Micro vs McAfee compatibility
Hi - can you please advise best option as a result of loading Adobe onto my laptop McAfee security scan plus loaded as well. I have noticed slower internet response now. Is McAfee compatible with Trend Micro and should it be left or removed. Any advise greatly appreciated thanks Dave.

@davet400 As referenced above, PC security programs do not co-exist well, as having more than one security program usually result in a conflict where key security features won't work properly. Since you have a paid version of Trend Micro Internet Security with features more powerful than the free McAfee Security Scan Plus, we suggest removing McAfee software and use Trend Micro protection only.
You may refer on the link below to remove McAfee :
Programs to remove before installing Trend Micro Security
After the uninstallation of McAfee, please check if your internet runs faster.
Please let us know if your question was answered. Thanks!

according to Trend Micro
"It is advised to install only one version of an antivirus program on your computer. Having multiple antivirus programs installed at the same time can cause performance issues and make your computer more vulnerable to threats."
https://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/home/pages/technical-support/1061023.aspx
according to Kaspersky
"You might think that, much like a pirate going into battle, the more weapons you have at your disposal for your protection the better... But while that may work in old-fashioned combat, it is not the case when it comes to protecting your system from the sea of danger it constantly faces."
https://blog.kaspersky.com/multiple-antivirus-programs-bad-idea/2670/
according to Norton
"Each security software is designed to work independently in a computer and multiple security solutions in a single computer are generally not optimized to work together resulting in performance issues."
https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/home/current/solutions/kb20080520095244EN_EndUserProfile_en_us
there are many more 'according to' out there but security companies agree on the same idea
so the next time you update Adobe, just uncheck the option to install additional security if you already have one
