What's New in Trend Micro Security v17.7.1951 and v17.7.1959

  1. Security Patch: We fixed a vulnerability in our URL filtering module to enhance your online safety.
  2. Secure Erase: We improved the Secure Erase feature, allowing you to remove files within the folder shield more effectively.
  3. Performance Boost: We've made enhancements to the core modules, reducing CPU usage and preventing crashes.
  4. Payguard Issue: We resolved an issue where Payguard wouldn't automatically open in Microsoft Edge.
  5. UI Improvements: We've also made some visual enhancements to our user interface icons.

How to Check for the Latest Update


Your Trend Micro program automatically checks for security updates every 3 hours to protect against new threats. You can also manually trigger an update. To check your build version:

  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Open the Trend Micro Security App.
  3. Wait for the 'Protected' status.
  4. Go to the 'About the Software' page to find your build version:

Finally ,the issue of the  Trend Micro ICON staying in the Task Bar appears to have been resolved. Let's hope that any further development flaws in the software do not take as long to fix. Love the product, hate that it takes Trend Micro soo loong to fix an issue.
