I appreciate your suggestion, but I think it's important to look into other possibilities to make sure my system is as secure as possible. Everybody has preferences, so it's critical to accept those choices without passing judgment.
I understand that "Everybody has preferences"... but in order to have "preferences" you have to have a certain level of understanding of PC security...
The OP , by asking this question, proves he/she is bellow beginer level, hence my advice.
Windows Defender requires ZERO interaction with the user.
That's why your advice was greatly appreciated; however, suggesting other options or products for the OP to consider would help them be more open-minded about PC securities.

If you cannot figure out this by yourself, better stick with Windows Defender, is very good!
