Trend has no solution that helps rid the second Trend icon that appears on the left side of Taskbar.

Possible that the Trend Micro Security program is penned on your Taskbar. Can you check what are the options if you right-click on the second icon?  Please reply with a screenshot/s of the scenario, this will help us to resolve your concern.

It isn't penned. It's a bug that Trend never resolves no matter how many times you ask. Trend has no solution. The only thing that has helped a little is uninstalling Trend and reinstalling it, but, the double icon issue eventually re-emerges.
