transferring existing subscription to new device

I am following the step by step instruction but when I attempt to remove the existing device to install to new device, but error comes up and says 'The last device cannot be removed'? help please

Hi @nedesigns, 

Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community.

If you only have a 1 seat license, the registered device cannot be removed.

To work around this you could to the following:

  1. Install Trend Micro on the device you want to be protected
  2. During the activation, you'll get a message "Too Many Installation"
  3. Enter your Trend Micro Account credentials to sign in to your Account
  4. Choose the old device you want to remove Trend Micro from
  5. The activation should continue and the new device will be protected
