Transfer of Protected Data Blocked popup prevents password being entered to temporailry disable this feature

When entering my debit card information on a shopify webpage, a Transfer of Protected Data Blocked (TPDB) popup appears and blocks the webpage data from being sent (as expected). However, the page will try to resend the information once every second, causing a new TPDB popup to appear every second. When trying to enter the password required to temporarily disable to the Data Theft Protection, the TPDB popup reappearing will take the focus away from the password input once per second, which means that user has to click back into the password entry box every time a TPDB popup appears to enter their password. This means that you have to click between entering each character of your password, which is very annoying and means that it takes a while to input your password.

Ideally, the TPDB popup would not remove focus from the TrendMicro password entry box, as the password entry to temporarily disable the protection should take priority over repeating the notification that a website or application is trying to send the data again.

Hi @ryank,

Welcome to Trend Micro User Community.

It is normal for Trend Micro Maximum Security's Data Theft Prevention feature to display the same pop-up message after you click the OK or Close button on the notification.

We replicate the issue on our end, and we were able to type the password required to disable the said feature without interruption as long as the notification window where you click "Temporarily disable this protection" is on the screen.

To help us investigate the problem further, please answer the following questions:

1. Could you please tell us which link you were on when you saw this pop-up?
2. Is this happening only on this website, or has it happened on other websites as well?
3. What are your installed browser extensions?

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Thank you.
