My micro was invaded even with Maximum Security being always active.

Home Desktop PC
Windows 7 Ultimate
Maximum Security 2017
para 5 PCs

Problem description:

I always found this software very safe, but on July 22, 2018 I received an email that by the information my micro was invaded showing my password even with Maximum Security being always active.

This email fell into my junk folder.

This email is with the Retention Policy of 10 days. It expires on August 1st.

How do I remove this policy to keep it while the problem is not resolved?

I always do a full scan once a week with Maximum Security.

What information do you need to analyze this problem?

I need to open a called Trend Micro Consumer Support URGENT. How can I do this?

Question:

How can this happen?

Is there any correction for this?

Regards

isis2000 is one of your password. Let me get straight to the point. You don't know anything about me however I  know you very well and you must be wondering why you're getting this email, correct?

Well, I actually setup malware on adult videos (sex sites) and do you know what, you accessed same porn website to have pleasure (you get my drift). And when you got busy enjoying our videos, your internet browser began operating as a RDP (Remote Desktop Protocol) having a backdoor which gave me access to your screen and your webcam started working. After that, my software program gathered all your contacts from  fb, as well as mailbox.

It's simply your bad luck that I came across your blunder. Next, I gave in much more time than I should've looking into your data and made a two view sextape. 1st part displays the video you were viewing and next half displays the recording of your cam (it is someone doing dirty things)

What can you do?

Wholeheartedly, I am willing to forget all information about you and let you get on with your daily life. And my goal is to provide you two options that may achieve it. These two option is to either turn a deaf ear to this email (not recommended), or just pay me $1000. Let’s understand those 2 options in more details.

Alternative one is to ignore my email message. Let us see what is going to happen if you choose this option. I will definately send your videotape to all of your contacts including friends and family, colleagues, and so on. It does not shield you from the humiliation your self will need to feel when family and friends find out your dirty sextape in their inbox.

Wise Option is to send me $1000. We’ll name it my “keep the secret charges”. Now Lets discuss what will happen if you pick this path. Your dirty secret remains your secret. I will destroy the sextape. After you send the payment, You can freely go on with your daily life and family as though nothing ever occurred.

Let's hope you have decided resolve this forever and send me the privacy fee. You will make the payment through Bitcoins (if you do not know how, type "how to buy bitcoins" on google search)

My BTC Address: 1HW84jEWfZMgeMcVv4PjZeprxds99buxKM

(It's cASe sensitive, so copy and paste it carefully)

Notice:

You have one day in order to make the payment. (I have a unique pixel in this e mail, and at this moment I know that you have read through this e-mail). Don't tell anyone what you would use the Bitcoins for or they may not offer it to you. The method to obtain bitcoins can take a few days so do not delay.

If I do not get the BitCoins, I will definately send your sextape to all of your contacts including family members, colleagues, and many others. nonetheless, if I do get paid, I'll erase the video immediately. If you want evidence, reply with "yes!" and I will send out your video recording to your 12 friends. It is a non negotiable  offer, so do not waste my time & yours by responding to this message.

-I'm not a Trend Micro representative, but I like to give you some suggestion-

Hello,
they did not entered your PC. They stolen your passwords from a remote database, not directly from your PC.

This is a known scam that is running in this period.

Simply delete the email and do not concern about.
For more security, change your web sites passwords.

Here more info about this SCAM, as you can see, the scam and the email text are the same.

Hi,

Thank you for your information.
But to make me carefree I would like to open a call on Trend Micro Support.
Can you tell me the way to open this call?

Hello,

I do not know.  Maybe a representative will post the details to do so.
Anyway let me to say that opening a call is useless, this is scam and this is not related to the security products.

My pleasure Milton,
do not worry, replace that password (if still in use) and stay secure with TM.

Also, I suggest TM to create an article on websites cause this scam seems to be very spread.

Hello mf_milton,

Thank you for letting us know about this issue that you encountered. We are already studying this new type of email scam. And for our initial findings, the email is just a plain scam that is trying to scare you. Your password may have come from a compromised website and the scammers are using it now to try and lure you in paying $1000.

If you are still using the password that was mentioned in the email, please change it immediately.

Regards,
Pat
