My computer has been installing an update for 6 hours
I had a popup for "important update", it has now been 6 hours and still "updating"
I cannot open the console, nothing happens when I try to open Trend Micro Maximum protection. Cannot close Trend as nothing happens when I right click the icon in taskbar.
I tried to contact customer support chat, but gave up after 45 minutes waiting for someone to answer me.
Normally these update popups will take 5/10/15 mins to install, but this is just ridiculous - 6 hours, come on!!
No, I do not know what the update reference number is.
Unsure if just turning off PC will stop it, but getting warning message about update running when I cntrl/alt/del.

Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community!
Kindly try to follow these steps:
1. On your keyboard, press and hold together the Windows key + R key.
2. In the open field, type supporttool and hit Enter or click OK. This will open the Trend Micro Diagnostic Toolkit.
3. Go to C(Uninstall) tab.
4. Click number 5, after a minute click number 2.
5. Wait for another minute, and click number 4.
6. Open the Trend Micro program and check if the issue persists.
