How to permanently disable "Scheduled Scans" and "Mute Mode"

Hello,

I tried to permanently disable "Scheduled Scans" and "Mute Mode" but after a while TM is informing me that these will be automatically enabled again.

How do I keep them permanently disabled?????

Thanks!

Hi @claudiubotezatu

To stay safe, they put it back on again so that you not forget to do a scan.

So, never permanently disable!

Kind regards,

Tom

Thank you for your answer!

A scheduled scan once per week is equal to ZERO.

TM is supposed to act in real time , so such a scan ads no value to an antivirus. (It is more spectacular than useful)

But what about "mute mode" ???Why do I need this????

I am sure there are some registry keys which control these.

I just unchecked the scheduled scan and it stayed off.  I also have mute mode as off and it has never turned itself on.

Welcome to community, less than a month ago!

I would suggest , spend more time following various questions and answers , before jumping in providing solutions.

Did you read my question??? I clearly specified that I disabled both "mute mode" and "scheduled scans" but TM automatically enabled them after a while.

How is the answer provided by you going to help, eh??

Hi @claudiubotezatu,

Mute mode is enabled by default after the installation along with the setting "Start Automatic Mute Mode while in full-screen mode."

It can stay on enabled status with a limit of 24 hours; if the 24 hour limit is reached, mute mode will be disabled automatically.

Aside from the default 24-hour limit, there are also three factors that can disable Mute Mode.

1. If the Trend Micro antivirus is restarted while in mute mode.
2. If the device is rebooted or restarted.
3. If an application leaves full-screen mode.

If the three factors are still not able to permanently disable the mute mode, please check the version of the Trend Micro antivirus on your device and check if there's an available update by accessing "About the software" on the main console.

For additional information, the scheduled scan will automatically be enabled when you disable the mute mode. Kindly follow the instructions accordingly:

1. Disable mute mode using the main console.
2. Restart your device. After restarting, make sure that the mute mode is still disabled.
3. Disable the scheduled scan.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
