Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours.
when you did the install you put it on and choose the folders to protect.
You can put it off, but if you do so, dont come here to ask help if someone has take over your folders! It is better to look how it works and use it!

Kindly follow the instructions from below to help turn off Folder Shield on your Trend Micro Program.
- Open the main console of your Trend Micro Security software
- Click Data
- Click Configure
- An Introduction Window will appear. Kindly click on OK.
- After that, there will be a button that you just need to move to left to finally turn off Folder Shield.
I hope this helps!Should you have any other concern, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
