Firefox and TrendMicro toolbar not working

Running Firefox 124.0.2 on W11Pro 23H2 and have TrendMicro Max Sec v17.8.1192 installed

All working ok on Edge but not on Firefox. Clicking on the toobar icon merely states

Install the latest version of Trend Micro Maximum Security now
To enhance your protection, Trend Micro recommends installing Trend Micro Maximum Security. Learn more
I know there have often been problems in the past with Firefox and the extension. Can anyone give me an indication of whether this is a general problem and likely to be fixed, or just specific to my installation.

Hi @fraser 

If there is a compatibility issue between Firefox and the TrendMicro toolbar, you can try disabling or removing the toolbar from your browser's settings. Here are the steps to do it:

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click on the three-line menu icon at the top-right corner.
  3. Go to Add-ons.
  4. Find Trend Micro Toolbar in the list of extensions.
  5. Click on Disable or Remove to uninstall it.

Hi Ash.

Unfortunately this did not solve the problem and after a long and very helpful call with Support, it was decided that there had to be an issue with the main TM max security installation. 

Removing and reinstalling TM max security solved the problem.
