need help with possible virus that is not detected by trend micro

Yesterday, I started to receive a pop-up every minute that disappeared after about 3 seconds. 

!  BROWSER IS INFECTED  !

ATTENTION! VIRUSES DETECTED!

This pop-up was not detected by either a smart or deep scan by TrendMicro. 

I'm using a MacBook Pro from 2019 running Ventura 23.6.1 .

Please advise on how to get rid of this pop-up and how dangerous it might be. It appears with both of my browsers: Safari and Chrome.

You might be experiencing suspicious browser notifications on your computer from a website. To address this, you can try adjusting Safari's notification settings by following the steps below:

  1. Open Apple Safari.
  2. Navigate to Safari > Preferences > Websites.
  3. Select Notifications in the left pane.
  4. On the right pane, identify the unfamiliar website, and then click the Remove button.

Because the pop-up issue has returned, even after a new operating system update (to macOS 14.2.10) and installation of AdBlock and AdGuard for Safari, I still need advice for getting rid of pop-ups warning of browser infection every minute.

I did supply a screen shot. The pop-up was in the upper right of the screen. I can't seem to attach it again here.
