Security on Facebook account

Went to do as the app says log into Facebook through the mobile security app.. for the social network privacy.. And seemed to log on to what I thought looked like a desktop version then suddenly disappeared.. now I can not log in to facebook.. as when they say send a verification sms to my phone it doesn’t even work....
