Hi dtsewall,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Apparently, there's no Trend Micro Malware. I would like to ask for further description and explanation of what you are experiencing. Please let us know what happened and on what part did you encounter the problem.

Please also provide us the following information:

1. Exact Error message if any

2. Screenshots of the problem if possible

Awaiting for your response.

@alyssa_alonzo I'm seeing 3 Trend Micro icons (hope that's the correct term) on the dock (hope that's also the right term) at the bottom of my screen. One is larger than the other 2. The 2 smaller ones appear to operate properly; the larger one seems to be different.

Hi dtsewall

Would it be okay for you to send us a screenshot of the Trend Micro icons that you can see on your device for us to verify it?

You may click this link to check on how to take a screenshot.

Hi dtsewall

On the dock of your Mac, may I know if the other icon only appears when you open or when you are using Trend Micro Security? If yes, would it be okay for you to try to minimize them by following this? Kindly check if another icon will still appear on your dock.

  1. Go to the Apple menu.
  2. Select "System Preferences"
  3. Click "Dock & Menu Bar"
  4. Tick "Minimize windows into application icon"

Let me know how it goes

The icons appear simultaneously at login, I would say with or without TMS being open or in use.

Minimization done, no change

Thank you, dtsewall.

May I know if you could provide us the Trend Micro version and the Mac OS version of your device?

Here's a link on how and where to check the version of your  Antivirus for Mac.

By the way, I would like to verify if you click the insert image icon when you tried to attach here the screenshot? Would it be okay for you to try it again for us to further check it?

Hi, dtsewall

Please try to check your Applications list to verify if you have unknown programs.

Use Launchpad to view and open apps on Mac

As for the console icon shown in your screenshot, don't be alarmed. Console is a system application used to provide information about your Mac. This is not a fake program.
