Don't "fix" it if it isn't broken!
Around Mar 1, the background on highlighted links became so dark as to be un-readable...almost like there are redacted elements in my email! Why is this background color even necessary?

Welcome to Trend Micro Users Community!
The highlight that you see in the links can easily distinguish the URL rating by Trend Micro. But don't worry, you can always disable that highlight and just enable 'Rate links on mouseover' as another option.
