Windows Defender conflict

I am running Trend Micro Maximum Security 12.0 on Windows 10. My Trend Micro dashboard tells me that I am protected, but Windows defender says my virus protection is not turned on. How do I resolve?

Hello,
usually Defender deactive when installing a third party antivirus program. 

Check under Settings, Update&Security, Windows Security (I have not english Windows so please excuse me if the names are not the same).
Click on Open Windows Defender, this will open 'Windows Defender Security Center'. 
Here you will see Threat and Virus Protection links you to Trend Micro program. 

If it is OK, Trend Micro is correctly running and obviously, defedner is turned off. :)

Thanks for the suggestion.  I eventually found that if I set Defender to do Periodic scans, along with Trend Micro, it seemed happy and turned off the warning notification.  I'll watch to make sure that that doesn't cause any new issues.
