Will not update, says not connected to internet, but am connected

Have not used tablet for a few months now won't up date. I am connected to internet but keep getting a message not connected

Thank you for contacting us in our new support community! We understand that although you're connected to the Internet, you still can't update your Trend Micro Mobile Security. For this situation, we suggest reinstalling the app. Here are the steps:
Step1
To uninstall your Mobile
Security app:
  1. Tap Mobile Security on your mobile device.
  2. Tap Menu > Settings > Uninstall.
  3. Type your password to continue uninstalling Mobile Security.
  4. Tap OK to finish.
Step2
Downloading, installing and activating the full version of Mobile Security for Android
