Buy Trend Micro Max after searching for information on the web. And I thought that was the best but install, and my computer began to act very strange, unstable, very slow and other things. My Pc Amd A8 and 8Gb RAm. So I decided to uninstall the Maximum and Windows defender Works better. It will not be the safest but my Pc works at 1000%. I'm very frustrated. I also set the Maximum and got the Minimum. Why?

Hi llevyRF,

I am sorry to hear about that. Let me help you regarding this matter.

It could be possible that the program is using most of your computer's disk/CPU because there might be Potentially Unwanted Applications, conflicting software, or malware infection.

Kindly install the program again and provide a screenshot of the "Task Manager", so we can verify how much of the computer's memory is being used by the program. Also, kindly check the "Protection Level" settings of the program and make sure that it is set to "Normal" and the option "Enable real-time scanning for compressed files (like ZIP files)" is unchecked.

You may click on the link below for the steps on how to configure these settings.

Check the list Potentially Unwanted Applications, conflicting software and I have none of those installed.

Hi llevyRF,

Can you click on the "%CPU" for it to be listed in such a way that the top part will be the one that is using the highest CPU? We are currently verifying which application is using most of your CPU.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi llevyRF,

Thank you for that information. I would like you to open the command prompt as an Administrator and type the following commands without the quotation marks:

"sfc /scannow"

"chkdsk /f"

Be sure to run the commands one at a time. It will also require you to restart your computer for the actions to take effect. After the restart, kindly try updating your Windows again.

Thank you and have a great day!

Hi llevyRF,

Thank you for that information. Are you able to update your Windows if the Trend Micro program is disabled?

No, it's that unique update that is not updated and gives me the error. But if another update is updated without problems.

Hi llevyRF,

Kindly click on this link for the steps on how to disable/enable your Trend Micro program. After disabling the program, try updating your Windows again. If it still would not update, I highly recommend contacting Microsoft to ask assistance on how to properly update your Windows system. After the update is successful, kindly monitor if your PC is still slow even if the Trend Micro program is active. It could be possible that the Windows Update is conflicting with the Trend Micro program that is why the program is using most of your CPU.

Thank you and have a great day!
