Why is my account saying PROTECTION DISABLED PLEASE RESTART.

Hi thehairpinsalon, 

Possible reasons for this error message are (a) conflicting programs or potentially unwanted applications are installed on your computer, and (b) the program fails to install the latest updates. Please follow the instructions in below link to resolve this: 

"Protection Disabled" error message appears when opening the main console of your Trend Micro Security program
