Why is it unable to install updates?

I had to do a system restore on my computer and now I can't get Trend Micro to update. It shows the last update was on June 15th which was the date that I restored my system to. When I click on get the latest protection it says: Unable to install update.

Thank you for informing this issue here. According to your description, we suspect that the Internet Security is damaged somehow during the system restore on your computer. Please follow the steps in support page below to reinstall the program to resolve.
Reinstalling the latest version of Trend Micro Security program

After reinstalled, please follow below steps to perform an update manually:
1) Right-click on the Trend Micro system tray icon at the bottom right-hand corner of your desktop.
2) Click "Check for Program Updates" and the About Your Software windows will appear and will automatically check for available updates.
