Hello,
you can simply do not use the Pay Protection... do not open it and nothing happens.

Let me to suggest you to use it! It is a new function for our security, why you want to deinstall?

Hello agorkolek264,

Pay Guard will only open when you double click the Pay Guard icon on your desktop.

We suggest that you use your default browser on accessing websites not related to banking / shopping.

Let us know if browsing speed is still slow even using your default browser.

Regards,
Joemar

Hello Tom,
do not worry. It appears after 2019 Trend Micro version update.

Simply do not use it if You do not want to. :)
Anyway, it opens a new web browser screen to use when you made a payment. It creates a secure environment to do so.
It is not possible to delete, simply do not use that button.

The "don't use it if you don't want it" is not an appropriate response to new functionality being foisted upon end users with no notification of the install or any way to customize it so it does not install in the first place.
With all due respect, the computer I use is my computer, not TrendMicro.  If they are making changes they should inform their customers, who PAY all their bills.  Who do they think they are, Apple, Amazon, Google.
A security company needs to have a good reputation and this kind of backdoor sneaky crap ain't cutting it.

Thanks for you input.  I disagree with your viewpoint.

Hi john.watters,

We appreciate your feedback about the new feature of our product. We totally agree that we should've considered such thing before implementing it with the force upgrade to version 15.0. Just a brief explanation about this new feature, Pay Guard is not a separate program from Trend Micro Security, it will only create a shortcut desktop icon on your computer.

You may delete the desktop shortcut icon. Should you need to use it again, you can access it from the main console.

Regards,
Pat

I am also not too happy with the password locker being added, but I would say SmartScan has to be the worst.

It has taken it upon itself to scan my computer, full scan, with health check up, everytime I boot the laptop.  Seeing how it is my work computer I may be seeing it scan 3-6 times a day, depending on how many client stops I have.

In answer to Champion Tom, yes, I did inquire about new features and as to why we cannot just customize away items we don't want.  Some of us require baselines on our computers to ensure the work we are testing is accurate.  We have to know what is installed so we can make informed decisions.  Telling me I have to just take the new stuff and not be given a chance to see how it works in a controlled environment is not a viable option.  I do not like testing on my production systems, thank you very much.

It is time to move on to another program when unsolicited embedded information is installed. I won't renew in 2019

Hi gmmontgomery

I dont use all the things that TM provide in Maximum Security, like Parental Control, Data Theft Prevention, Password Manager, Vault. But if i not use it i think a lot of people do use it! And they are useful!! So if something new is there that you dont want to use, dont use it, it is only a link on your desktop, you can take it away there, use the dust-pin. It is very useful for sites where you do transactions!
You can always access it from the menu!
Did you complain when they put all the other stuff in the program?
Or did i get you wrong?

Kind regards,
Tom
