why does Trend Micro not Log the fact that a Scan was run on my computer unless a cookie is deleted or a problem found? My Browsers are set up to delet cookies on exit so unless a threat is found you don't log the fact that Scans (manual ro sheduled) have been run. Please consider making the slight change to the "Last Scan" portion of the program to reflect every scan Date/Time with a simple : "No Threat Found". It would help your consumers find out When the machine was last in a clean state. Why would you not want to log a clean Scan? your customers would be better assured that Scheudled Scans are indeed working. For the last 3-4 years I have only seen Scan activity less than Half a dozen times. Thanks for your consideration.

Hi @pjmuse and welcome to the community!

The Security Report is a part of your Trend Micro program that logs all the malicious files, websites, programs, etc. that it detected and found malicious. We do understand that you want some information to confirm that your Trend Micro program is running and that it scans your machine as scheduled but you need not to worry because as long as you see the red Trend Micro icon on the system tray of your PC, that means that your computer is being protected real-time.

With regards to the Scheduled Scan, as long as your computer is running (not in Sleep mode, Hibernated, or in Screensaver), it will automatically scan on the time that is set for the program to do a scan on your PC.

We acknowledge your feedback and will forward it to our developers so they can assess if this can be possible for future versions of the program. In the meantime, we hope this answers your concern.

Let us know if you have more inquiries or concerns.

Thank you and have a great day! :)

Thanks for the response Ian.  Although I am new to "the Community" I am not new to Trend Micro as I have been a user for over 20 years and Trend MIcro has been a great help keeping my internet usage safe.  The lack of the Log reporting of eventless scans that I run is a little frustration that have decided to hold up to the Trend Micro developers as a chance to make a great Product just that much greater.  My hope is that the inclusion of each scan run into Log with Date/Time info would not be a difficult thing to do and be found to offer worthwhile info for your consumers to use.

Thanks Again

Hi @pjmuse,

Thank you so much for the response.

We already forwarded it to our product developers and hope to have this feature available on the next versions of the Trend Micro Security programs. Truly, this will be helpful for the customers as a reference as well to know when they last run a scan on their PC.

In the meantime, we ensure you that as long as the Trend Micro icon on your system tray is on red color, your machine is protected.

Thank you for your trust and confidence with Trend Micro.

Have a great day!
