We would just like to clarify the problem that you are having. Are you receiving any notifications or any pop ups with regard to the issue that you are facing? If yes, can we have a photo of it on this thread so we can check the problem?
Based on the errors or problems that has occurred before, does the Trend Micro program says "Protection Disabled, Restart required"? If yes, proceed to this link for the troubleshooting.
"Protection Disabled" error message appears when opening the main console of your Trend Micro Security program

Seven times today I have had to restart my computer because trend micro says it has to update. Enough already!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for the inconvenience. May we ask if you are receiving an error message "Protection Disabled"? You may try reinstalling the Trend Micro program or please check first and uninstall conflicting programs & potentially unwanted programs.

Already tried reinstalling, don't have any other software on the list of conflicting programs installed. Have tried numerous other's including Trend Micro of past years and have NEVER seen this kind of problem where a virus protection is continually shutting itself off like this. It's completely and totally unacceptable.
I can't believe there isn't something awry in the system architecture or software internals of Trend Micro at this point. From a quick scan around the web, this has been a problem for the last couple of years.
In years earlier than that, I used Trend Micro for a number of years and no problem of continuously turning itself off - leaving the user completely unprotected, ever happened in past years. Nor have I ever seen this happen as a consistent "feature" of any program much less security.
I don't want to change product - but there is no way I can tolerate this - nor can I waste my time endlessly doing tasks to figure out why a clearly too fragile product isn't working!
I want my money back already for the wasted time, and risk this has exposed me to.
Trend Micro's attitude to this is far too casual in assuming a problem that one can see is excessive and pervasive compared to other virus sw and even to Trend Micros own product of the past.

How many customers you think TM have?
If 20 people has this problem then it is 20 to match!!
But they are working hard to help and try to find out what the trouble is!
I never had this problem ( use TM since Win 98 ! )
But i got other problems and there was always a solution.
But i had problems with Windows, Drivers, and all kind of other software.
Do you know that we are already 5 months are Beta-testing the new TM versions!
And that if the new program is cumming there are still some bugs!
Every program has bugs!
