Why didn't Trend Micro protect me from YantooDesktop. exe andsuperfish?

On Windows 8.1.  Dell all-in-one. Trend Micro Antivirus+ Version 12.0
I did a complete scan with the antivirus.  I downloaded Tech utilities and it found malware after a scan.  YantooDesktop.exe and superfish.  They only charged $140 to check the computer.and fix what was broke.l

If the Trend Micro program is not detecting anything, it means that you are not infected or there's no threat present on your machine. There's no need for you to download any software, tools or other stuffs to make sure that you are not protected. Downloading something from the Internet nowadays imposes huge threat since you might run into a malicious website/link that can be the entry point for malware. 

If you are suspecting or wants to make sure that your machine is not infected, you can contact us first so we check it and give you proper advise. 

This is just a friendly reminder that you really do not have to pay $140 right away for an issue that you are not really sure that is true. Again, we need you to contact us first so we can validate if there's an issue or not.
