Why can't the scheduled scan be performed when the screen saver is on (I set times I'm not using PC)? It always starts when I start to work.

Why can't the scheduled scan be performed when the screen saver is on (I set it for early AM times while I'm not using my PC)? It always starts when I want to get something done....

It is advisable to have the computer to not go on sleep mode or to not turn on screensaver so that it can perform a scan. That is because if the PC is on sleep mode or when the screensaver activates, everything in the background stops.

For that, just disable screensaver for the Trend Micro program to perform a scheduled scan.

I get the not running in sleep mode part but the application not running when the screen saver is on is ridiculous.  Trend should make every effort to develop a product that doesn't require constant intervention from its users.

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!

I like to advice you, to let your off the screensaver and just let the screen go off, no use of a screensaver anymore, it was mend for protection your screen (burning in) but it is useless since the LCD screens are in use, better is to put off the screen after 15 minutes when you don't use the PC!
