Where's the icon?

For some reason today I do not see the Trend Micro icon on the lower right of my desktop...I always see it as the computer opens and when I mouse over it, I get either it's "starting; please wait" or my protection is enabled (or something like that). Today, I didn't see the icon at all and I couldn't get my shortcut to open the program. I restarted and still don't see it in its usua spot, though I got a window asking me to add ransomeware to some folders, which I did...but I can't find a set up feature that adds the icon, thought I did pin it to start. Why the change?  I upgraded to Windows 10 ages ago.  I'm using a Dell Precision T1700.
