Hello eagle.soar ! Welcome to the community!

We have tried to replicate the problem from our end using a freshly installed Trend Micro Mobile Security just this June 26, 2018. We have not received any blocking pages beyond the 5 minute mark.

Can you tell us more about the device that you are using; like the model and the current android version that it is running?

It will also be a great help if you can send us a screen shot of the page that you are receiving saying that it is blocked.

Thanks!

All the best.

android 8.1.0 / 1 June 2018 sec patch

when first running, it appears on the phone as an icon in the upper left corner, then disappears soon afterward (the icon needs to be present to connect to https://messages.android.com )

i've just tried replicating the problem but it seems to be working fine now.

i switched off smart power saver - maybe that fixed it?

when sending a message on my phone, the icon appears in the upper left of the screen for about 10 seconds then disappears. during this time, the browser page still stays disconnected.

Hi eagle.soar,

May I verify if both devices are connected to a stable internet connection during this time?

Regards,

Hello there!

Sorry for the late response. The Trend Micro Mobile Security should not block this type of connection. Are you seeing any Trend Micro notification with regard to this action? I am sensing that this might be a network issue from the Messaging app.

All the best.

i don't think it's a networking issue, but thanks for trying.
