When I start a scan of the computer it will run for a minute or so then stop. I have to restart the computer to get out of it.

It's unfortunate that you are receiving an issue regarding the scan while you have the latest version of the Trend Micro program and our apologies for the inconvenience. Usually, this kind of issue is being encountered due to conflicting security programs that is installed on your PC or it's due from the remnants of older version of the Trend Micro program.

So first of all, kindly check if there are any other security programs installed on your PC like McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky, etc. It would be best to uninstall those kind of programs since they can cause performance issues with the Trend Micro program.

If in case there are no conflicting security programs on your PC, we can do a clean installation of the Trend Micro program.
