What is easy way to send suspicious file if with it NO detection by Antivirus?

Hi Support and community.

I often receive questionable files in the mail that contain viruses (determined by other antiviruses), but not detected by TrendMicro. Is there an easy and fast way to send such files to be scanned for entry it into the virus database? Is there such functionality in the application itself? If the application does not know how to send suspicious files for verification in TM, will this option be implemented in the future?
It is not very convenient to send suspicious files by the support portal (it waste long time).
Maybe TM has a special website for quickly sending files and links for verification? For example, Kaspersky has such a service: newvirus.kaspersky.com - this is very convenient!

With all respect, Andrew

Hi iaandr,

Thanks for posting here.

Right now, the only way to submit files for testing or reclassification is through our support portal which is here: https://www.trendmicro.com/en_us/about/legal/detection-reevaluation.html

In addition to this, you can definitely scan files with the Anti-Threat Toolkit to thoroughly analyze files as Amir suggested.

Pat

Dear Amir & Pat

The support portal is great, but for users, especially home users, this is long and inconvenient.
Could you suggest developers to add functionality for sending examples in the application itself, for example after scanning a file, if the user does not agree with the scan result?
For the answer, the application and the support service can use the e-mail specified when registering the license.

Best regards, Andrey

Hi iaandr,

Thank you for your suggestion and feedback.

We will consider your suggestion. But for the meantime, Trend Micro Anti-Threat Toolkit is a tool specialized in detecting, analyzing and removing malware on your computer. Also, by using this application. Customers will be able to send the unwanted / dangerous detected files together with the samples for us to check on it.

Here is the link and article of the tool on how to use it:

Hi Collegues
I would like to have the "False Detection/Re-Classify Requests or Add detection" as option into Antivirus app.
Very strange at False Detection/Re-Classify Requests support portal page field "Choose an appropriate request type" has only one option to set "False Detection", but there is no "No Detection" option to add a virus file for detection!

Best regards, Andrey

Thanks for this feedback.

We'll pass this on to our Development team and we'll study and try to make it happen.
