What in the heck is going on with Trend Micro????!!!!! It's working, & it's NOT working!!!  Everytime I turn around it's the same issues again... When I read my emails & they all show that Trend hasn't approved, ALL of my emails are stating Trend "No Response" for safe rating. I rechecked my settings and emails are to be checked. Then I get a popup from Trend to Turn On my Virus Scan???? It's ON!!!!! You guys have been having so many issues lately. What gives???? I'm thinking I'll spend my money elsewhere & not have these issues if you guys can't get your programs to work. Doesn't make me feel secure anymore..... Same Laptop/Windows 7 & Chrome. Also the same on Android phone & Tab. Never know if it's working, passwords show up minutes after I enter them myself. Seriously.....Looks like I'm not the only one getting frustrated with this... & Trend keeps reminding my my subscription is due the end of the month.. I'll think about it.

I agree. after a decade of using Trend Micro I will be using a different product at the end of my term. I am tired of hearing my clients complain.

Hi Barbeerian

Can you please give us some details of what you're experiencing? I'd like one member of our team look into this.

I feel the same way. I can't do anything unless I disable Trend Micro. The exception list does nothing. Cannot pay bills, Purchase online, use facebook, etc., etc. I even cannot get on the trend Micro community unless I disable Trend Micro. One has to be an IT specialist to figure out how to use Trend Micro Security. After many years as a customer, I quit and will break down and use Norton which is part of my Comcast subscription.  This is trrible. What the heck has Trend Micro done?

Hi debylan2010,

Thank you for flagging this with us. This is not the normal behavior of the program so I suggest we contact you to look into this. I have sent you an email. I would appreciate it if you can get back to me giving your preferred time and date.

I already have chatted with a specialist who took control of my PC. It worked for a day then went back to its old way. I have Windows 7 on my Dell, Windows 10 on my HP and a MacBook Pro. Haven't had issues with the Mac but that has limited use because it's tied in with my virtual bike training exercise program. I'll check out your email and try to resolve this problem again. Thanks.

Hi Torey M

I've checked your conversation with our technical support and what you're experiencing is caused by the feature called Data Theft Protection (DTP). The program is actually fine, doing what it is supposed to do. It's just that it is not working how you want to, probably because the DTP is not configured how you would like it to behave.

DTP prevents the sending of your personal info (including credit card details, if that is how you set it up) over the internet. If this is not how you want it to work, you may check this link for instructions how to configure it:

Using the Data Theft Prevention feature of your Trend Micro Security software

For additional info, you may ask us here. :)

I totally agree. I have used Trend Micro since 2008. Now it just sucks. Will cancel my subscription and go with anyone but Trend Micro. Absolute shame really.
