Since installing the full version of Internet Security, I keep getting ridiculous amounts of pop-ups. They all read; WerFault.exe Application Error. The instruction at 0x77d8e0eb referenced memory at 0x00000044. The memory could not be read. Click OK to terminate. Another 3 have popped up with the same message but a different .exe file name; Communicator.exe, HPCEE.exe and NvSHIM.exe I have run malaware and the internet security and nothing was found.

Hello calicogirl and welcome to the community!

We understand that you are getting Application error popups lately.

Let me help you on this matter. Please see the steps below;

Step 1: Verify if the issue is related to the Trend Micro program, kindly disable the program for the meantime to check if you will still get the same pop-ups. Below is an online article that you can use as your guide.
Disabling or enabling your Trend Micro Security software

Step 2: If the issue persists, it would be best to contact Microsoft directly. The WerFault.exe is a component of your computer mainly for Windows Error Reporting purposes. The Communicator.exe is for Microsoft Office Communicator 2005, HPCEE.exe is for Hewlett Packard Reporting system. If there are no pop-ups after disabling the Trend Micro program, proceed to Step 3.

Step 3:
Running System File Checker to scan your PC for and repair your corrupted system files.
a. Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard the same time.
b. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
c. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
d. On the Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow and then hit Enter.
e. Wait for the scan to finish and then check the results afterwards.
f. Restart your computer and check if you will still receive the same pop-ups.

Step 4: Running Check Disk to find and repair errors that are found in your hard drive.
a. Press Windows + R keys on your keyboard the same time.
b. In the search results list, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as Administrator.
c. When you are prompted by User Account Control, click Continue.
d. On the Command Prompt window, type chkdsk and then hit Enter.
e. Wait for the scan to finish and then check the results afterwards.
f. Restart your computer and check if you will still receive the same pop-ups.

Step 5: Disabling WerFault.exe on your computer.
a. Press Windows + R keys again and then type services.msc on the open field for the Run command window.
b. Locate Windows Error Reporting Service.
c. Right click on in and select Properties. Change its startup type, from Manual to Disabled.
d. Click OK and restart your computer.

Step 6: Remove Conflicting Software installed on your computer. Click here to see the complete list of those programs.

Step 7: Reinstall the Trend Micro program on your computer. You can use the link below as your guide:
