'Website Blocked' pop-up for the Parental Controlled categories since recent update.

'Website Blocked' pop-up for the Parental Controlled categories are super annoying. Every webpage nowadays have advertisements so every webpage gets this pop-up. Trendmicro used to block the ads silently until recent update.

Thank you for letting us know about this problem that you are experiencing. Apologies for the inconvenience.

The pop-up behavior that you are getting from Parental Controls are actually normal especially when you are browsing something from the internet that is supposed to be blocked by Trend Micro Security depending on the age category or settings that you set for Parental Controls.

Since enabling Parental Controls initially aims to limit internet access to kids, you may temporarily turn off Parental Controls while you are browsing the internet then turn it back on once it's time for the kids to use the computer.

I have using the Parental Controls' to block web advertisement and other unwanted categories for a very long. The ads were being blocked without the popups. Just clicking on this page popped up an ad block message.  There is big increase in the pop ups since the recent update. Every new page pops up new messages plus it interrupts your input in login fields.

I also use AdBlock Plus. There are  165000 ads blocked but no popups. I can disable the ad block when a website requires it by clicking on the toolbar icon. Perhaps Trendmicro could have a browser toolbar icon  that the users can use to temporarily/permanently allow the blocked content instead of the popups.  

I hope  someone looks into whats changed. There is trend on this topic here.

I have Trend Micro Maximum Security Version: 12.0.1226. 

I have been very satisfied with Trend Micro for protecting all my devices many many years.

  4. Screeenshots of the pop-up message from Trend Micro Security
