This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled "Warning: unresponsive plug-in" messages..

I'm having the same issues as the previous people have with the pop-up "Warning: unresponsive plug-in" messages. I'm not computer savvy, can you help me with this? I'm not sure how to fix this,.

We have received information that updating Shockwave Player can resolve this issue.  You can refer to the following steps to install the latest Shockwave Player:

  1. Use your Firefox to go to Adobe's Shockwave Player download page and download the installer.
  2. Close Firefox when the download has finished.
  3. Open the Shockwave Player installer file you downloaded and install it.

Please let us know if the error is fixed after you installed the latest Shockwave Player. Thank you.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Warning: Unresponsive Plugin -- Firefox Shockwave extension is blocked.

Have tried all Mozilla recommended fixes including uninstall and reinstall; making certain version is most recent, which leaves security software blocking application. Error message: Warning: Unresponsive Plugin. Is Trend Micro blocking this extension from starting? If so, how to fix it?

Have tried fixes recommended here  Trend Micro causing problems with flash player on firefox   with no result.  Have uninstalled and reinstalled Shockwave and Flash players with latest version.  Problem still seems to be TM.  Fore example, on https://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player.html  ,  using Firefox, I will get error messages when trying to detect flash player.  If I exit TM and refresh page, everything works.  If I restart TM, the flash will freeze and error messages resume.  Based on discussion on another forum, I have uninstalled and reinstalled audio and video drivers with no improvement.  Any suggestions?

Sorry for the late response. We have received information that updating Adobe Flash Player (Shockwave Flash) to 22.0.0.209 or higher version can resolve this issue. Please open the page in Firefox to verify if you're using the latest version of plugins: Check Your Plugins

If above solution does not work, please provide screenshots of your Firefox plugins and the unresponsive script error, and we'll investigate further on our lab. Thank you.
