So far, this software has been simple to use and I've ran a couple of scans to ensure that my computer is safe, but when I looked in the 'about' section I saw that everything else was checkmarked for protection except for 'Virus and Threat Protection'. I'm not sure what to do.
Are you referring to the Windows Defender Security Center where you can see the following: 1. Virus and Threat Protection 2. Device Performance and Health 3. Firewall and Network Protection 4. App and Browser Control 5. Family Options
If so, then try to check again the Virus and Threat Protection. If you can see the 'Open Trend Micro' below it, that means it is the active antivirus that you currently have.
Also, you can try to double check that your Trend Micro is properly protecting your PC by going right-clicking the system tray icon of Trend Micro, then make sure that there is a checkmark on "Protect Against Viruses and Spywares". If not, just click on it to add the checkmark.
