Updating difficulties

I keep getting messages for Windows update, but do not install. Only happened since I installed current version of Trend Micro. Can I turn it off to install updates?

Hi, thanks for response.  There is no error message,  computer runs for hours but will not update Microsoft Updates.  Using 2017 version of Trend Micro.  Never had similar problems.  Can I turn of Internet Security while updating and then turn back on?

Hi Klaus,

You may try that by Right-click icon and Exit, but only if you are sure that the update is a legitimate  win update
Than we now it is really TM that stops the update.

For your issue, please try performing Windows Update manually by following steps:
Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Update > Check for updates

If your update issue still persists, please try the solution that Tom provided, temporarily disable your Trend Micro Security to see if you can download the Windows Update smoothly. You also can refer the following support document:
Disabling or enabling your Trend Micro Security software

Don't forget to enable your Trend Micro Security after the confirmation.
