UNPROTECTED COMPUTER

When I boot up my computer, I normally open Trend, update---then run a PC Health checkup. Today I forgot to update, so did so when I was done using my computer. To my surprise, when I clicked on the Trend Icon, I got the message: STARTING YOUR PROTECTION. Does this mean that my computer is unprotected until I manually open the program?

Hi SEAMANALAN,

The Trend Micro program automatically starts itself as soon as you boot up your computer. Usually, that message appears when you've just opened your computer, or if the Trend Micro program has restarted itself to install an update.

Please check if the small icon on the system tray still says "Starting your protection", and check if you are able to open your program's main console right now. If not, you may opt to try the steps on the link below:

"Starting your protection” appears from the Trend Micro program

Please let us know if this helps! :)
