unbeknownst to me Trend Micro was filling up my hard drive.

a trip to geek squad and $40 later found out this program was filling up my drive n my 6mo old laptop.  Now it expires tomorrow and TM wants another $50.
my question is why didn't TM send out an updated program that didn't have this issue?  really not liking this company right now.

Sorry to hear that you're encountering this issue.

Based on your concern, one of the possible reasons is that the "debug" folder of the AMSP folder of your Trend Micro program is filling up the disk space of your computer.

Actually, it is unusual that the "debug" folder is bombarded with log files. It is safe to remove these log files, but, it would be best if we reinstall the Trend Micro program since it appears that your Trend Micro program has an issue with its log collection and/or your Trend Micro program is not updating properly. It is advisable reinstall the program as a long-term solution for your concern.

To successfully reinstall your Trend Micro program, you must first uninstall your Trend Micro program using the Diagnostic Toolkit. Please refer to the instructions provided on the link below:

that's what the geek squad guy did for me.  I had no idea what was happening to my computer, as it was very new and there weren't a lot of new programs or large files that could explain the filling up of the drive.  I had to pay them to uninstall and reinstall the program after they diagnosed the problem. and now TM wants another fee paid to renew the subscription. Buying a new computer and a new virus program i thought i was covered. Why would I think a new program would flake out like this. if TM has a known issue wouldn't they stand by their product and process updates well in advance of a situation turning out like this?  i'm not in any hurry to buy/install/use any more TM products.
