My computer is connected to the Internet; however, the Trend Micro Internet Security keeps giving me a message saying I must connect to the Internet before the Trend Micro can be updated. Any ideas of what the problem may be.

I had seen that article but rather than using the link provided for scanning for virus, I updated Spy Bot Search and Destroy which I keep installed as a backup) software.  Once the update was completed and the computer restarted, then the Trend Micro recognized the Internet and I was able to update it.  Crazy

I have the same issue. I have downloaded and re installed Maxsecurity 10 and also downloaded and ran the suggested malware program, nothing was found but I still cannot update the Trend definitions. This issue has happened since 7/7/16. Please advise

I am having the same problem on two computers so it is a problem with Trend Micro software not our computers! I have had this program for several years and this is the first time this has happened and nothing has changed on my computer! We shouldn't have to download another program, it should be fixed!!

I have updated to the tune of $70+ but keep getting expiration notices from Trend Micro alternating with ransomware notices. What do I do?
