TrendMicro has not detected RDN/YahLover.worm!055BCCAC9FEC on our laptop computer. It's a worm so should TrendMicro picked this thing up.

May I ask how did you get that information? Is it when you are browsing on the Internet or did it pop up when you boot up your computer? If you got the information when you are browsing the Internet did it provide you a phone number to call?

To check if this "worm" has really infected your computer please check if you can open the Registry Editor on your Windows computer.

  1. Press Windows logo key + "R" on your keyboard together,
  2. Type in the field "regedit". If you can open the Registry Editor that means it has not infected your Registry since worms will most likely disable them since they will modify certain values on the Registry Editor so that your computer acts weird.
Another one is to check your Internet Explorer if it will direct you to the MSN home page, the MSN home page is a default set by Microsoft when you use Internet Explorer for the first time. If you changed the home page of your Internet Explorer and you notice it is not the same anymore try changing it back and close the Internet Explorer and reopen it once again and check if the home page changed again.

If you can provide us with the necessary information that I am asking you, we will be able to narrow down where you got the information. If you did get a phone number to call when you got this information this is most likely a technical support scam trying to scare people off and then luring them so that the scammers can connect to the computer and they will be the one that will damage their computer.
