Trend suddenly stopped working

Hello, Trend wont open anymore. The splash screen opens, then nothing. Several off Trends process' seem to open/run but nothing in my taskbar and windows says no anti virus is turned on, tried it throught windows and nothing.
I tried re-installing a fresh copy and that didn't help.

I've had the same thing happen before. The action I took proved successful for me. First, I disconnected from the internet, did a restart, then ran a scan. When that was complete, I checked all of my Trend settings and made certain Trend started when my device starts up. It slows the start up a bit, but I find it worth it. Let us know if this helps. If the solution provided by woodartisan55 did not work you may try this.

This can happen if there are remnants of the previously installed Trend Micro Security software. So we suggest uninstalling Trend Micro Security by the Diagnostic Toolkit:
Uninstalling Trend Micro Security and older programs using the Diagnostic Toolkit

If you have any problems by using the Diagnostic Toolkit, please refer to the above support page "Having problems removing Trend Micro?" section to remove any leftover Trend Micro files.

After trying the above steps, you can install the latest version of your Trend Micro Security:
For Premium Security/Maximum Security (Serial Numbers starting with "X")
Installing Premium Security 2017
Installing Maximum Security 2017
