Trend micro wont update

Trend micro won't update.  When I click "update now" it says I am up to date but the red x won't go away and it still says I need to update.  I've tried closing the program and re-opening it.  I'm using the mac software.  Anyone else have this problem?

Thank you for letting us know about this issue that you encountered and apologies for the inconvenience.

For this kind of concern we will advise you to reinstall the Trend Micro Security software on your Mac. Kindly follow the steps below:

STEP 1: Download the Installer package. Click here to begin download.
STEP 2: Open the downloaded installer package then open the User Support folder.
STEP 3: Open the Diagnostic Toolkit then click on Uninstall.
STEP 4: Proceed with the installation by opening the file Install Trend Micro Antivirus

For the installation instructions, you may follow the steps from this article: Installing Antivirus for Mac 
Note: You no longer need to download the installer file from the given article since you have already downloaded it from the first step.
