Trend micro vault icon fails to open vault

Double clicking the icon does not open the vault and drag and drop files on the icon does not add them to the vaults

Hi @DonaldB, I understand your frustration.

For your question, before you open Trend Micro Vault, have you tried right click the icon on your desktop, and then select either Unlock Vault? If not, please give it a try!

I have tried both of those and still no joy.  it worked fine up to a couple of days ago.   When I right click on icon it brings up the unlock vault but clicking on the option does nothing.

Hi @DonaldB, sorry that the solution didn't work.

For this issue, can you backup the following folder first?
C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Local\Trend Micro

Note: You have to change the setting below to show hidden files:
Show hidden files

After doing the above, please turn off the Trend Micro Vault, reboot your computer and turn on the feature again to see if the problem persists.
