Trend Micro updated, ms office stuffed up

Trend micro updated yesterday... then I noticed the icons in MS outlook have changed (this happened previously, I didn't notice the correlation that time)... I have repaired and reinstalled office three times now, the changes haven't helped, and now I'm missing some programs in office.

Really quite cheesed off.  That's not the language I want to use, but I figured it wouldn't get past your filters if I showed how frustrated I really am.

Hi peblz55

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers, that is only at working hours. I am just a volunteer!
Hi, tell us the version of your OS, version of your office product.
Update to the latest version of TM!
Upgrading Trend Micro Security software to the latest version

All the lower office version's till 2016 have a repair  function in the installer, so run the installer again.
Hope this helps.

Kind regards,

Hi peblz55,

Aside from the details asked by Tom, are you able to post a screenshot of the icons?

Hiya,  I did reinstall office, about 20 or so times...  it was all fine for about an hour, and then the icons in outlook went back to ugly again.  I've attached a screen snip.

I'm running Windows 10, with Office 365, I apparently did update to the latest version of TM.  :-)

It might not even be that, but the coincidence was pretty impressive.  I've got it running again, and I'm just living with the ugly icons, because I don't think I can deal with the frustration again.

So, if you can come up with something off the top of your head, that's great, but don't waste time or too much brain power on this problem - I've let it go now I've got a working system again.  :-)

Thanks for listening, though, I do appreciate that.

-I'm not a Trend Micro representative-

as per Microsfot Knowledge Base, please check at the solution in THIS PAGE.
At first try the repair/check function as suggested by Tom.
