Trend Micro Toolbar for Chrome highlighting blocks text

I've added the Trend Micro Toolbar to Chrome and it variously adds green highlighting or tick icons to hyperlinks in web pages and pdf viewed in Chrome. In some pdf this highlighting is in the foreground, is not transparent at all, and blocks the text from view. There are no options I can find to turn off display of these approvals.

Can you change the highlighting to be background? transparent? only on rollover?

Welcome to the community @beckerfpq!

Here is a fix for removing the green highlighting that you can try.

1) Open your browser
2) Left click on the Trend Micro Toolbar Icon
3) Make sure that "Rate links on web pages" is unchecked while "Rate links on mouseover" is checked
4) Close the browser and open it again

What this does is that it removes the icon and highlighting altogether and it only appears when you point your mouse at the link that you want to view. Aside from this, there is no method to just remove the highlighted link and leave behind the check mark. an answer from one of the helpful Trend Micro techs from some months ago.  Good luck!
