Trend Micro takes a long time to start

Ever since Oct 2016 I have had problems with Trend Micro Maximum Security (Windows 10). Initially it was being disabled. I have been in touch with your help desk (Ref 1-1-1077744251 and 1-1-1081608961). The disable problem seems to have been resolved. Now it takes about 5 minutes to get going when I start my laptop. The help desk staff do their best but have not been able to help. Please advise a solution to this serious problem.

Hi Tom,

Did you try the 3 different startup options of TM?
See Settings/other Settings, mine is on the first option but try all of them to see the difference.

Along with the advice above, you may want to look at ALL of the programs starting up when you turn on your laptop. I had a problem which involved around 12 programs initiating on start-up. I cut that down to my monitor and Trend micro. Those were the only two I could see necessary to have running immediately. Start up is quicker now. Let us know if either of these solution help, and good luck.
