May we know if this will the first time that you will be running the scan? If yes, the program might really take time in performing the scan but not to the extend that it will be that long but, it might also depend on the speed of your computer.
Can you also check if you have another Antivirus program installed on your computer aside from the Trend Micro Program? If yes, that might be the cause of this problem as it might be the one conflicting with the scanning process.
