trend micro scan

trend micro scan does preparing to start scan and its been going for 5 hours and still at 0 percent.  I am running windows 10

Welcome to TM Home users Community, a public site where volunteers try to help each-other , also there are TM Employees that can give answers. I am just a volunteer.

Can you click on Window key/R then put in "Supporttool.exe"
Then the Tab C, then Click on 5 wait the buttons come up again, then click on 4 and try to do a new scan.

Sorry if you are experiencing an issue with the Trend Micro program. Rest assured, we'll help you sort this out.

Kindly check if there are other security programs installed on your PC. If there are, it would be best for us to uninstall it to avoid getting performance issues with the Trend Micro program.

If issue persists, you may do a clean reinstallation of the Trend Micro program. You may take your time and run the following tools first:
- Uninstall Tool
- Remnant File Remover Tool

After that, you may download the latest version of the Trend Micro Maximum Security program by clicking on this link.
